West Virginia's ABE Marketing Kit
A three-ring binder which includes a Marketing Guide, posters, brochures, table tents, psa's, press releases, information on class rings for GED graduates, camera-ready logo sheets, etc. distributed throughout the state to all ABE practitioners and administrators.

ABE Marketing Video:
A 12-minute video which includes segments explaining each component of Adult Basic Education in West Virginia.

PLANET MARS (Plan To Empower Teachers with Marketing and Retention Strategies)
Directions to PLANET MARS - guidebook containing information and techniques for marketing ABE programs and retaining students until they have reached their goal(s). It also contains step-by-step instructions on how to develop and implement a marketing and retention plan for use in every program, whether it is a full-time learning center or a three hour part-time class.

Connections: Directors of Adult Education & Literacy Programs in West Virginia

A description of all programs available statewide, contact persons for each program, and a county-by-county breakdown of available services. Produced by the Governor's Council on Literacy and distributed to all adult education/literacy personnel.
 

Literacy Counts: A Resource Guide for Planning Adult Education and Literacy Programs Within West Virginia
Data useful when planning programs for adults within a specific community, county, or workplace. Includes county-by-county breakdown of educational, employment/occupational, and general demographics. Produced by the Governor's Council on Literacy and distributed to all adult education/literacy personnel.

This "menu," designed after a real restaurant menu, is a unique and innovative way to advertise services available within ABE full-time learning centers. Examples: "Appetizers" contains a list of assessments available; "Take a Byte Out of This" advertises the technology components; and the "Works Bar" lists job search skills offered.
